Day 4: Embrace where you are in life

Friday, November 30, 2012

Everyday we wake up waiting for something. We wait for our coffee, we wait for the light to turn green, we wait for future special events…no matter what it is we are usually waiting for it and at times we get impatient.

Many of us lack patience with life, with people and with ourselves. We try to hurry things along and when we have something specific on our mind we want it now. Sometimes we push for answers to our problems before the time is right not realizing that our pace of life is under control. We ARE exactly where we’re supposed to be and we need to learn to surrender our will to life’s greater plan.

Our lives are supposed to unfold just like a rose does. Each petal slowly unravels itself, bit by bit until it blooms into a beautiful flower. If we hurried the process of the blooming stage we would destroy the bud along with the beauty that comes within. Learn to patiently wait for your life to unfold because if you start to rush the process along you will miss the lovely stages in between.

Instead of wishing for time to move faster, embrace the current stage you are in. Difficult times last until you have learned what you need to know in order to get through to the next step in life. After you reach the destination you have been wishing and hoping for, a new journey will begin and there will be more lessons for you to learn.
