Day 272: Work hard, see results! My scratching addiction may be over.

Thursday, September 29, 2011

The handsome man I am dating knows my passion for lottery scratchers. I was feeling sick the other day and he surprised me with a stack of scratchers…we both sat there with our coins scratching hard and talking about all the things we would do if we won the big bucks. We were on a scratching high until we found out most of the scratchers were DUDS!

I believe we only won $2.

Last night I took that $2 to the gas station to get one LAST scratcher…I had high hopes for this crossword scratcher...but it let me down and I LOST again! I used to be so lucky with those darn scratchers but I think God is trying to tell me that I am blessed enough right now and someone else in need will buy the golden tickets.

Anyhoo…losing taught me a great lesson:

DO NOT AVOID HARD WORK!!! It’s easy to win something, but you honestly don’t learn anything when something is handed to you. The greatest values are created when you work hard.

Don’t be scared of the strange, tedious, complicated, challenging, annoying or difficult tasks. There are humps in every journey you just have to fight to get over them.

Instead of wishing and wanting, focus and find a passion. Find something you love so much and get yourself hooked on how awesome it feels to make a positive and meaningful differnence in your life or other peoples lives. If you find something you love you will experience satisfaction in doing all the difficult work.

Many people are lazy and avoid hard work BUT when you avoid the hard work you are only cheating yourself out of the joy of accomplishment. Now wouldn’t you feel so much better about yourself if you hiked alllll the way to the top of it instead of getting a helicopter ride up there?? There really is no satisfaction in laziness so get off your butt and work hard to accomplish something.

All the results from hard work will only contribute goodness into your life. Hard work will transform you into a stronger, wiser, happier and smarter person!

Day 271: Pay attention to the good things!

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

This world is full of alluring distractions, which means one of the most valuable things you have at your disposal is your attention.
Whatever you choose to focus your attention on will grow stronger as a result.
For example, if you pay attention to your loved ones the love between you will grow even stronger. If you give your friends more attention your bond will grow stronger. If you pay more attention at your job you will be more effective and successful.
Pay full attention to your attitude. Make sure you have a good attitude and genuinely focus your positive attention to all good things around you. Your surroundings will improve when you give your ultimate attention to the good things in life.
If you start paying attention to what your heart truly desires your path will start leading you to the happy place you are destined to be.
Keeping your attention focused on what is most important is challenging because of all the distractions that surround us, but, when you commit your genuine attention to things that will bring value into your life, your attention will bring out the best in you.
Always remember your attention is your most valuable asset. The best way to move forward positively in life is to pay attention to the things that will effectively put you on a good path.
Attention energizes whatever you center it on. So direct your genuine attention toward ONLY the most positive and promising aspects of life, and good things will come your way!

Day 270: Instants shape your future. Act accordingly!

Tuesday, September 27, 2011

Today's inspiration comes from a packet of coffee I happened to walk past this morning. It had the word “INSTANT” on it.

Instant is such a powerful word. It makes me want to snap my fingers and demand everything and anything I desire...

Coffee can be made in an “instant” and so can your life.

Life can change in an instant. Instants are happening every second. Instants can be something positive or something negative. It’s up to you to define your instant but I suggest you use any instant to change your life for better.

Instants may seem like small moments right now…but these same small moments become major opportunities that can have positive or negative impacts on your life depending on how you approach/ react to them.

Positive actions will always lead to favorable consequences that will continue to double far into the future.

In every instant YOU have the power to make a positive impact on your life or someone else’s.

Empower perspective, focus your energy on good things, and use instants to move forward in a positive direction. Instants provide limitless opportunities, and every opportunity is your chance to let yourself shine and bring value into this world!

Day 269: Abundance is a blessing, enjoy it while it lasts!

Monday, September 26, 2011

Times are tough. Many people aren’t getting the income they desire and many people aren’t receiving an income at all.
During these tough times we worry about all the things we can lose or things that we can no longer have. What we need to realize is that most of the things we “think” we need are nothing more than comfortable habits.
Having an abundance of “things” is a limitless blessing but once that abundance starts to disappear, it turns into a burden of loss.
Abundance is beautiful while it lasts so instead of worrying about eventually losing your stuff, put your time and energy towards using it while it’s still available to you.
Worrying creates loss before you even loose the things that you have, so quit worrying, be grateful and open your mind to other possibilities.
You will NEVER lose what really matters in your life because good things and people that you really NEED will continue to flow right by your side.
AND always remember the only thing that truly matters in this world is not what you have, but what you give.

Day 268: Live to love

Sunday, September 25, 2011

We were all born with a heart and that heart gives us the ability to love.

Love is a miraculous and powerful thing. It can transform your most heartbreaking burdens into your richest blessings. Sometimes you can’t fight the problems and hardships that are dumped on your path, but changing the way you look at problems can change the love you have for life.

Do everything with love and it will give you the power to enable good things to come your way.

Love will always keep you focused on what truly matters and it will keep you going against all odds.

If you’re not living your life with love you’re not living at all.

Day 267: Open yourself to life

Saturday, September 24, 2011

Life is already here. Drench yourself in all the possibilities that are right in front of you, experience life for yourself and replace all doubts with anything is possible.

Ride the waves of life now and open yourself to all the possibilities that surround you. You have more than enough right in front of you and it’s up to you to love it and make use of it.

Something your heart desires is somewhere within all the things you already have. Look for it.

Your desires, goals and dreams will be nourished by everything that comes your way. Make use of all your tools.

Open yourself to life and it will show you its purpose.

Happy Saturday!

Day 266: Reward yourself this weekend

Friday, September 23, 2011

Weekends are a splendid reward after a strenuous week. It’s nice to make at least one delightful plan every weekend as an incentive for a week of hard work. Be sure to make your weekend reward something wonderful, rich, inspiring and exciting!

Start your week off with at least one weekend plan in mind so you have something to look forward to, and let that special plan motivate you. You can make plans with an old friend, or make plans to do something special with a loved one, or even go to the mall and spoil yourself with an item you’ve been eying. Pick that special something that your heart desires!

If you always have a desire in mind, you will constantly be striving towards something wonderful.

And if you think your reward is too far away, I say, anticipation brings out the best pleasure in all things. Eagerness will always fill you up with powerful enthusiasm that will get you through the long hours of the day.

Working hard every day will give you a good reason to give yourself a desirable reward at the end of the week. If you’re still working today, you have until “punch-out” time to create a reward for yourself…let your reward be your motivation to finish your Friday off STRONG!!!

Day 265:You must pay the price to fulfill the worth you want in your life

Thursday, September 22, 2011

Every day I try to reinvent myself. I am never satisfied with sitting still and I constantly strive to come up with new ideas to make a positive difference in my life but lately I feel like I’ve been running into lots of road blocks. I hate road blocks! They are so discouraging and make me fear the worst for my future.

But, I’ve always said faith makes a good pillow to sleep on at night, so I will stick to my saying and instead of letting my fears steer me away from a positive outcome I will let my fears and concerns prepare me—NOT stop me from doing what I love.

Let your worries prepare you for what’s about to come. Never let your worries steer you away from your future. Forget about what others may think of your ideas and keep doing what you love.

Each and every one of us is blessed with a gift, a special value and a unique vision of how life can be. Live your vision the way you see it and don’t let others get in the way of it.

You must pay the price to fulfill the worth you want in your life. There will be road blocks on the way—but don’t let them stump you for too long. Keep pushing through.

If the opportunity is there TAKE ACTION, and do something significant with it. For these special moments of opportunity don’t last forever.

You have one life, and you are living it right now. Life is rich and it’s up to you to fill it up with value. Act on all your intentions with passion and do it with purpose. Don’t wait for tomorrow, start today.

Day 264: If you can read this you are more fortunate than 3 billion people.

Wednesday, September 21, 2011

If you have food in your fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep you are richer than 75% of the world.
If you have money in the bank, your wallet, and some spare change you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness you are more blessed than the million people who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the agony of imprisonment or torture, or the horrible pangs of starvation vou are luckier than 500 million people alive and suffering.
If you can read this message you are more fortunate than 3 billion people in the world who cannot read it at all.

Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough. -Oprah Winfrey

Blessed are those that can give without remembering and receive without forgetting. -Author Unknown

So often we dwell on the things that seem impossible rather than on the things that are possible. So often we are depressed by what remains to be done and forget to be thankful for all that has been done. -Marian Wright Edelman

What if you gave someone a gift, and they neglected to thank you for it--would you be likely to give them another? Life is the same way. In order to attract more of the blessings that life has to offer, you must truly appreciate what you already have.-Ralph Marston

A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all other virtues. -Cicero

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us. -Albert Schweitzer

Day 263: If you want happiness provide it to others

Tuesday, September 20, 2011

Good morning!!!

What was the first amazing thing that happened to you today?

Let me answer that for you… the fact that you woke up!

That’s a blessing in itself and throughout the day more amazing things will come knocking on your hearts door. But, the problem is many people don’t answer that door because they are too busy complaining about how tired they are or how packed their life is with stuff to do, some people skip the opportunity of letting in more awesomeness into their life by simply ignoring all the knocks.

Happiness and opportunity knocks on your door every day, month after month, year after year and instead of ignoring all the knocks you need to change your attitude. There’s only one superior way to answer the door, and that’s changing your attitude. Your attitude must be full of faith and expectancy. Your daily declaration must start off with “today is going to be a fantastic day”, and when you frame your mind with that statement you shall receive the gifts of joy that are coming your way.

Receive the gifts of joy and make sure you pass them along others. Pay it forward everyday and you will live the happiest life you have ever known!

Happy Tuesday!

Day 262: Relax just do it!

Monday, September 19, 2011

Good Evening!
I hope everyone had a fabulous Monday, I sure did!
It’s my last day of vacation and I spent the day doing absolutely nothing, and sadly I feel guilty about it. I am used to being constantly on the go and I can’t remember the last time I sat on my couch for over 30 minutes watching television.
It’s sad that my brain has a hard time accepting relaxation and there are many others that feel the same way.
Today I tried to teach myself to relax and let go of the little stressors that impact my life…like the 2 loads of laundry sitting on top of my suit case and my dirty sheets that need washing and the pool that needs cleaning…all these small yet annoying stressors bother me because I know eventually I will have to do it all, or, a.) I won’t have anything to wear to work tomorrow, b.) I won’t be able to sleep in my bed tonight and c.) My pool will eventually turn super green if I don’t take care of it!
Regardless of all the chores I have to do, it’s important to make room for relaxation. Relaxation doesn’t necessarily mean you are lazy, it will actually improve your productivity-- not lessen it. Everyone needs to rejuvenate and recharge their batteries once in a while because if you don’t you will burn out and you could even get sick from not taking the time to take care of yourself.
Relaxation is a must in your routine, let go of the guilt.
In today’s society the fast pace lifestyle has many of us believing that being on-the-go constantly is the only way to improve our value. But what we don’t realize is sometimes hard work wears our value down because we are doing more but, we are putting in less effort and energy to make our work valuable since we are tired.
Hard work doesn't mean being on-the-go 24/7, it means giving your daily tasks the attention, time and energy they deserve—if you get tired, it’s time to pull back.
Recharging is IMPORTANT to your value.
Accept the fact that sleep and relaxation are essential parts of life. When you snooze, your mind continues to learn in ways that are not achievable when you are awake. Everyone has their own way of relaxing, my routine consists of a monthly massage, at least 8 hours of sleep every night, and a day or two off once in a while.
So go find your relaxation niche, and rejuvenate your enthusiasm for living life to its fullest value!
